The Leys Primary were with us last week, and a brilliant week it was. Crisp and clear for most of it, ideal for an action-packed trip. With the focus on new experiences, teamwork, independence and building new friendships, the pupils took part in canoeing, archery, bushcraft, BMX, climbing, gorge walking, a tunnel adventure and mountaineering. BMX was a new one for the school, and it looks like it’ll be on their programme for some time to come, because the children really got on well, many making it all of the way around our track, and others even learned to ride. We were especially pleased to see the new friendship groups developing as the week went on, and the way that the children worked as a group was lovely.
