It was a very late start for the children of Richard Alibon this year. The group arrived in Hay-on-Wye at about 9.30 on Sunday evening, enthusiastic despite having had a very long coach journey. They had time for a bit of settling in and some homemade pizza before heading off to bed to recover for the next exciting day of activities. It didn’t take long for the children to catch up on the normal arrival information and by tea time everyone new just how things worked. Aims for the week included teamwork, working on listening skills and perseverance. The children had plenty of opportunities to work towards these goals while trying out a whole range of activities including caving, bushcraft, gorgewalking and canoeing. It was fantastic to see confidence growing and skills improving as the week progressed. Well done to everyone.
