For the first time in a long while, we were visited by Monteagle Primary last week, with the children from Year 5 coming in two batches over the course of the week. Group 1 came Monday to Wednesday and had an interesting time in the snow, while group 2 came for the rest of the week and experienced much kinder conditions. With two half days and one full there wasn’t time to fit all of the usual activities in, but they still packed in some great stuff, with bushcraft (and snowman building) on day one, what we call our Adventure Day on day two (a tunnel and gorge walking experience near Talybont) and a morning of orienteering before their departure. The children had a great deal of fun, working with new people and trying out new things, not in the least ticking off a few of the things to do before 11 ¾. Well done to one and all, we look forward to seeing you again in 2019! More pictures in the Gallery.
