Well done to the year 6 children from Becontree Primary that have been staying with us this week. The group arrived a little late on Monday after the coach was delayed, so they were bursting with excitement by the time we welcomed them in. Aims for this group included improving communication skills, becoming more independent and working together more. Once everyone was settled in and knew the daily routine were able to get to focus on those skills while taking part in challenging activities. The programme included gorge walking and the tunnel challenge, caving, canoeing and bushcraft, as well as some exciting evening activities such as climbing and orienteering. By the end of the week everyone was able to get themselves ready for now and later, lead the way, fit their own equipment and offer help to others. Good job all of you.
